WELCOME

Thankyou for visiting Echo Interaction Design. Echo was started by me, Shane Morris, in 2001 when I began freelancing as an interaction designer / information architect / usability consultant.

Echo designs conversations between people and technology - otherwise known as "user interface design" or "interaction design".

We have experience in the analysis, design and evaluation of user interfaces for the Internet, traditional applications and physical devices.

NOVEMBER 2006: MY NEW JOB - USER EXPERIENCE EVANGELIST

As of November 2006 I have taken a job as "User Experience Evangelist" for Microsoft Australia. Echo Interaction Design will basically be put on the shelf. Except I will still be teaching the Principles of Interaction Design course from time to time.

TUTORIAL: PRINCIPLES OF INTERACTION DESIGN

I will be presenting "Principles of Interaction Design" at CHI 2007 in San Jose, USA in April 2007. The tutorial has been divided into 2 parts to fit the CHI model of short tutorials interspersed with the paper program.
